Reporting to : Head of Quality

* Prefer candidates with Equipment Manufacturer manufacturing industry working experience.

* PMP/ Prince2 Certified required.

* Lean or 6 sigma certification preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the CEO and other senior managers. Projects can be in any area of the company, but the focus will be on new product development (NPD) and custom machine projects.
• Stage-Gate Process Management. Execute assigned projects according to the company’s stage-gate process. Ensure all deliverables are met at each stage. Coordinate across functions to keep each project running smoothly.
• Product Development Team (PDT) Leadership. Each NPD/custom project is conducted by a core team called the PDT (Product Development Team). Members are assigned to each PDT by senior management. The Project Manager will lead and coordinate the activities of the PDT in collaboration with the functional/department managers.
• Project Scope & Requirements. Define and manage product requirements in collaboration with the commercial team, engineering, customers and other stakeholders. Requirements include product performance, features and benefits, selling price, manufacturing cost, etc. Deliver to this plan.
• Project Budget. Develop the project budget and ROI model in collaboration with the Product Development Team (PDT), track progress throughout the project, deliver to this plan.
• Project Schedule. Develop the project schedule in collaboration with the PDT, conduct critical path planning, manage to this schedule, deliver the project on time.
• Risk Management. Conduct comprehensive project/product risk analysis with the PDT, develop the risk management plan, execute to this plan.
• Communication & Reporting. Facilitate cross-functional communication and coordination throughout the project, including regular updates to the executive New Product Steering Team.
• Continuous Improvement. Improve procedures related to your role and responsibilities within the organization.
• Mentorship. As a Project Manager, the employee is expected to provide mentorship and guidance to the PDT to enable them to improve their skills to achieve the project goals. They are also expected to provide mentorship to other leaders when assigned by the Head of Quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Engineering or technical field preferred.
• Certification in project management (PMP) preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in NPD project management.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, balance, and manage multiple efforts with strong results/goal orientation. Use time effectively, prioritizes and organizes workflow; can orchestrate multiple activities at once. Agility and personal adaptability with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities with a high sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment.
• Engineering design experience is a plus.
• Manufacturing operations experience is a plus.
• Certification in six sigma, lean manufacturing and related is a plus.
• Experience operating in an ISO certified environment preferred.

Pay: RM14,000.00 - RM18,000.00 per month
