About the Roles
We are seeking a CMM Technician to join a semi-conductor manufacturing organization based in Seletar Aerospace Park. This permanent role offers a 5-day work week from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm, with a competitive basic salary of $2,000 to $2,500 plus variable bonus. The position provides an opportunity to support quality inspection processes within a precision manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to perform accurate quality inspections.
- Carry out First Article Inspection (FAI), incoming, in-process, and final inspections using various measuring equipment.
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to conduct dimensional measurements and verification.
- Maintain inspection documentation and records in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges while ensuring proper equipment maintenance.
- Verify calibration status of inspection tools before conducting measurements.
- Perform visual checks according to engineering requirements and work instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of inspection equipment, machines, and work areas.
- Support quality enhancement initiatives, cost reduction efforts, workplace safety practices, and continuous improvement activities.
- Communicate inspection findings and report non-conforming parts to the Quality Supervisor in a timely manner.
What We’re Looking For
- Possess a Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, GCE O-Level, or equivalent qualification, with at least 2 years of CMM inspection experience.
- Have hands-on experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM); knowledge of Hexagon PC-DMIS or Zeiss CALYPSO programming software will be an advantage.
- Able to understand and interpret engineering drawings with good knowledge of GD&T.
- Familiar with operating measuring tools including vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Possess basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts when required.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Responsible, independent, and able to collaborate effectively within a team.
