We're Hiring: Wholesale Pharmacist (Regulatory Affairs & Business Development)


Location: Tampoi, Johor Bahru

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM


We are a growing veterinary healthcare group operating 18 veterinary clinics across Malaysia, with businesses in veterinary services, healthcare distribution, and pharmaceutical operations. We are looking for a qualified and motivated *Wholesale Pharmacist* to support our wholesale pharmacy and regulatory affairs functions.


Key Responsibilities:


Wholesale & Regulatory Compliance


  • Act as the registered pharmacist for the Poisons Type A Wholesale Licence, ensuring licence compliance, renewals, and regulatory readiness.
  • Liaise with NPRA/MOH during inspections, audits, and regulatory matters.
  • Ensure compliance with Poisons Act requirements, documentation control, and controlled medicine management.


Quality Management & Good Distribution Practice (GDP)


  • Drive compliance with MOH, NPRA, and pharmaceutical industry standards.
  • Oversee GDP practices including cold-chain management, storage standards, FIFO controls, batch traceability, recalls, returns, and complaints handling.
  • Maintain audit readiness across wholesale operations.


Product Registration & Regulatory Affairs


  • Manage product registration, renewals, variations, and regulatory submissions through NPRA QUEST3+.
  • Ensure proper product classification, import licensing, labelling compliance, and regulatory documentation.
  • Support pharmacovigilance activities and adverse drug reaction reporting.


Product Sourcing & Supplier Management


  • Evaluate and recommend products based on quality, compliance, pricing, and market opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers, distributors, and business partners.
  • Support portfolio expansion, white-label initiatives, and product strategy.


Formulary & Product Governance


  • Develop and maintain the Group drug formulary and standard product list.
  • Support product standardisation across clinics and business units.
  • Identify opportunities for product optimisation, margin improvement, and supply security.


Professional Pharmacy Support


  • Provide pharmacy expertise on medication selection, handling, storage, compliance, and SOP development.
  • Collaborate with clinics, operations, Product & Supplier Management, finance, HR, marketing, and IT teams to ensure effective execution.


Compounding Pharmacy Management


  • Coordinate compounding pharmacy requirements to support clinical needs.
  • Evaluate opportunities to transition from compounded products to registered alternatives where appropriate.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Registered Pharmacist with a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
  • Experience in regulatory affairs, wholesale pharmacy, or pharmaceutical operations is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of NPRA regulations and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
  • Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
