Job Summary
The AV Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment for hotel events, meetings, conferences, and guest functions. The role ensures all AV services run smoothly and provide excellent support to guests and event organizers.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and dismantle AV equipment for meetings, conferences, weddings, banquets, and other hotel events.
- Operate audio, video, lighting, projector, microphone, sound system, LED screen, and related AV equipment during events.
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Provide technical support to guests, event organizers, and hotel departments before and during events.
- Coordinate with Banquet, Sales, and Events teams to understand event requirements and ensure proper AV setup.
- Monitor sound and visual quality during events and make adjustments as needed.
- Maintain inventory of AV equipment and report any damage or replacement needs.
- Ensure all AV operations comply with hotel safety standards and procedures.
- Assist in installing or upgrading AV systems when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the AV storage and control rooms.
Requirements
- Diploma or certificate in Audio Visual, Electronics, IT, or related field preferred.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of sound systems, projectors, mixers, microphones, lighting, and video conferencing equipment.
- Basic troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
