Quality Control (QC) Inspector – Job Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of incoming raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using appropriate measuring instruments (e.g., vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, and gauges).
• Carry out sampling and testing in accordance with inspection plans, quality procedures, and customer requirements.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality inspection reports and related documentation.
• Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials or products.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support investigations into quality issues.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to resolve quality concerns and prevent recurrence.
• Verify that production processes comply with approved work instructions, quality standards, and customer specifications.
• Ensure measuring and testing equipment is properly calibrated and used correctly.
• Conduct first article, in-process, patrol, and final inspections as required.
• Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve product quality.
• Maintain good housekeeping and comply with workplace safety, health, and environmental requirements.
• Support internal, customer, and external audits by providing quality records and inspection evidence.
• Ensure compliance with the company's Quality Management System (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485), customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the QA/QC Supervisor or Quality Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of QC inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles).
• Knowledge of quality inspection methods and measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 quality management systems is an advantage.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications is preferred.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) and basic report preparation skills.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
