Job Title: Quality Manager (Automotive Industry)
Job Overview:
Corent is seeking an experienced, results-driven Quality Manager to lead our quality management operations in the automotive sector. The ideal candidate will oversee quality planning from the pre-project stage through mass production, manage quality KPIs, ensure compliance with automotive industry standards, and mentor our internal quality engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client & Project Liaison: Lead pre-project alignment and maintain strong ongoing communication with clients.
- Quality Planning & Risk Management: Spearhead early-stage quality planning, define quality objectives, identify risks, plan management strategies, and oversee trial production for smooth transition into mass production.
- Testing & Validation Coordination: Coordinate internal and external resources to execute Design Verification (DV) and Product Verification (PV) testing according to client testing outlines.
- PPAP & Documentation: Prepare PPAP documentation in alignment with project schedules, compile project data, and document lessons learned for rollout across other projects.
- Team Leadership & Mentoring: Guide and support department quality engineers and inspectors to strengthen independent judgment on new product quality.
- Quality Cost Optimization: Propose continuous improvement recommendations to reduce quality costs for managed product lines.
- Reporting & Department Coordination: Meet weekly departmental and operational plan goals, maintain quality weekly report data, and coordinate inter-departmental workflows in line with quality manuals and procedures.
- Administrative & Budgetary Oversight: Conduct preliminary reviews of quality costs, purchase requisitions, production scheduling, business travel, and maintenance budgets.
- KPI Management: Establish and manage Quality Department KPIs, providing timely progress and result updates to senior management and relevant departments.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of quality management experience specifically within the automotive industry, with proven team management experience.
- Industry Standards: In-depth familiarity with automotive quality management systems such as ISO / IATF 16949, alongside Tier-1 automotive supplier experience.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of independently resolving complex quality issues.
- Quality Tools: Proficiency in core quality tools and software, including FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent English communication skills, with the capability to read/write technical documents and lead meetings with international clients.
Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
