Position Overview
The Shift In-Charge is responsible for managing daily outlet operations, ensuring smooth workflow, maintaining service quality, monitoring staff performance, and ensuring all company SOPs, food safety standards, and operational requirements are followed.
The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to handle outlet operations independently while supporting the management team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Outlet Operations Management
- Manage and oversee daily outlet operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Ensure all opening, operating, and closing procedures are properly carried out.
- Monitor service quality, food preparation, cleanliness, and customer experience.
- Ensure outlet facilities, equipment, and working areas are properly maintained.
- Handle operational issues and report any major concerns to management.
2. Staff Management & Supervision
- Lead, guide, and supervise outlet staff during daily operations.
- Allocate staff duties according to operational needs.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, discipline, grooming, and compliance with company rules.
- Ensure staff follow proper work procedures, including food preparation, service standards, and hygiene requirements.
- Provide guidance and coaching to new staff during the training period.
- Report staff performance issues, misconduct, or operational concerns to management.
3. Food Preparation & Quality Control
- Ensure food and beverage preparation follows company SOP and standard recipes.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, presentation, and consistency.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of food ingredients.
- Conduct regular checks to prevent wastage, overproduction, and food safety issues.
4. Stock Control & Inventory Management
- Monitor daily stock levels and ensure sufficient ingredients and supplies are available.
- Perform stock checking and assist with stock ordering requirements.
- Ensure receiving of goods is properly checked against delivery documents.
- Monitor expiry dates, product usage, and wastage.
- Maintain accurate stock records and report discrepancies.
5. Cash Handling & Closing Procedures
- Monitor cashier operations and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
- Ensure cash handling procedures are followed according to company policy.
- Perform closing procedures including cash counting, payment reconciliation, and outlet checking.
- Ensure daily sales records and required reports are completed accurately.
6. Customer Service Management
- Ensure customers receive friendly, efficient, and satisfactory service.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and provide solutions where appropriate.
- Ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered within expected service standards.
7. SOP, Hygiene & Safety Compliance
- Ensure outlet compliance with company SOP, food safety requirements, and hygiene standards.
- Ensure staff maintain proper uniform, personal hygiene, and workplace cleanliness.
- Monitor compliance with required certifications such as Food Handling Course, Typhoid Vaccination, and Halal Awareness Training.
- Conduct regular checks to maintain outlet readiness for inspections or audits.
8. Reporting & Administrative Support
- Prepare daily operational reports as required.
- Report sales, stock issues, staff issues, equipment problems, and other outlet matters to management.
- Assist management with outlet improvement initiatives and implementation of new procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation and records related to outlet operations.
Pay: RM1,600.00 - RM1,700.00 per month
