FREELANCE QUALITY ENGINEER (CONTRACT FOR SERVICE)

Veriwise Sdn Bhd is a growing engineering workforce solutions provider supporting mission-critical infrastructure projects across Malaysia. We specialize in supplying experienced engineering professionals to support data centres, industrial facilities, and critical infrastructure projects.

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Quality Engineer to join our project team for several upcoming Data Centre projects in the Klang Valley. This opportunity is ideal for experienced professionals looking to work on high-profile engineering projects while enjoying the flexibility of a Contract for Service engagement.

Freelance Quality Engineer (total 3 pax, 1 pax for each site)
Engagement Type: Contract for Service (Freelance)

About the Project

You will be supporting large-scale Data Centre projects where quality management, customer compliance, and continuous improvement play a critical role in successful project delivery.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, project engineers, and project management teams to ensure all quality requirements are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.

• Klang Valley

Expected Project Schedule

• Project Site 1: Mid August 2026
• Project Site 2: Mid November 2026
• Project Site 3: Mid November 2026

Contract Duration

• Approximately 10 months for each respective project site
• High-performing personnel may be considered for extension or future project assignments with Veriwise Sdn Bhd.

Reporting To

• Project Manager or Project Quality Lead

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Lead customer quality management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce reportable quality issues and improve customer satisfaction.
• Investigate quality issues using appropriate Quality Control (QC) tools and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
• Attend customer quality meetings and effectively address customer requirements and concerns.
• Monitor, track, and maintain records of all reported quality issues within customer platforms.
• Ensure all corrective actions and Root Cause Analysis reports are completed within agreed timelines.
• Identify recurring quality issues and recommend preventive actions.
• Understand and implement customer-specific quality management requirements across project execution.
• Work closely with Project Engineers to ensure quality procedures are effectively implemented.
• Provide regular progress updates to customers and internal stakeholders regarding quality performance and corrective actions.
• Review customer specifications during project planning and provide quality-related technical input.
• Prepare quality reports, lessons learned, presentations, and improvement recommendations for customers and management.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience

Applicants should possess:

• Minimum 10 years' experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Strong experience managing customer quality requirements in engineering projects.
• Experience working in industrial, power generation, oil & gas, manufacturing, mission-critical facilities, or construction environments.

Added Advantage

Experience in any of the following will be highly preferred:

• Data Centres
• Diesel Generator Systems
• Backup Power Systems
• Critical Infrastructure Projects

• Good understanding of Quality Management Systems and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Good report writing and presentation skills.
• Strong commitment towards quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to work at project site.
• Flexibility to work beyond normal working hours whenever project requirements demand.

Working Schedule

• Five (5) working days per week
• Eight (8) working hours per day (excluding one (1) hour lunch break)
• Additional working hours may be required based on project operational requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive freelance engagement package consisting of:

• Monthly Service Fee: RM7,000.00
• Paid overtime for approved work performed beyond normal working hours.
• Overtime payment for approved work on weekends and public holidays.
• Project Completion Bonus: RM1,000 for every completed month of continuous service, payable upon successful completion of the respective project, subject to satisfactory performance and compliance with contractual obligations.

Contract Arrangement

This engagement is offered under a Contract for Service (Freelance).

As this is an independent contractor arrangement, it does not constitute employment under the Employment Act. Accordingly, statutory employment benefits such as Annual Leave, Medical Leave, EPF (KWSP), SOCSO, EIS, and other employee benefits are not applicable.
