Our client a Japanese financial and leasing company are hiring for a Finance Manager.

Finance Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the company's finance, accounting, and financial control functions.

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, and statutory reporting.

• Manage corporate tax, GST, tax compliance, and liaise with external tax advisors and auditors.

• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.

• Support and eventually serve as a reliable backup to the current Senior Manager.

• Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team while driving continuous process improvements.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to support business and financial decision-making.

• Participate in finance transformation initiatives, including the implementation of a new core system.

• Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities when required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) is preferred.

• At least 8–10 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with several years in a managerial position.

• Prior experience working in accounting firm or handling accounting firm, particularly in Audit or Tax, is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of:

①Financial reporting

②Financial controls

③Corporate tax and GST

④Statutory compliance

⑤Audit processes

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of finance operations.

• Experience leading finance process improvements or ERP/system implementation projects would be an advantage.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
