Job Summary
Lead and manage the centre’s operations and programmes to support seniors through active ageing, community engagement, and quality service delivery aligned with MOH and AIC guidelines.
Responsibilities
Programme Coordination and Community Involvement
- Develop and coordinate an annual calendar of active ageing activities tailored to seniors’ needs
- Plan and implement outreach programmes for seniors in the community
- Develop and implement engagement plans to engage seniors in the community effectively such as Active Ageing Programme, Befriending and Buddying and Care Coordination
- Plan, budget, and execute active ageing programmes based on seniors’ needs
- Oversee programme delivery to achieve performance indicators and ensure compliance with Ministry of Health (MOH), Agency for Integrated Care (AIC), and other related agency designated by the Ministry
- Supervise centre staff to maintain high-quality service standards and foster a positive work environment
- Provide excellent customer service, client management and volunteer management
- Analyze trends and forecast seniors’ needs for programme development
- Network and collaborate with community organisations to enhance and expand services for seniors
- Involve volunteers in programmes and create meaningful community engagement opportunities for seniors
Information Management
- Ensure data management complies with Personal Data Protection requirements and supports accurate reporting
- Establish and monitor indicators for programme evaluation to assess effectiveness and impact
- Develop and maintain a seniors’ information management system to support service delivery
Staff Matters
- Conduct investigations into staff misconduct or breaches of rules and regulations as directed by the Superintendent
- Promote harmonious staff relationships and boost morale through effective communication and team-building
- Assist in recruitment, conduct orientation and training for new staff, and recommend ongoing skills development
- Plan and implement staff training aligned with service needs and organisational goals
- Conduct staff performance appraisals to support professional growth
Administrative
- Perform general administrative duties to support centre operations
- Manage and review the centre’s financial position to ensure operational sustainability
- Implement and participate in Business Continuity Plans, fire safety measures, health and environmental care, and risk management plans for the centre
- Liaise with external agencies on matters concerning seniors to coordinate support and services
- Maintain up-to-date statistics and records of centre activities for reporting and evaluation
- Provide support for committee and staff meetings, including participation in case conferences and sharing sessions
Other Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Social Services or related fields
- Relevant experience in working with elderly clients in community, healthcare, or social service settings
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in programme planning, community engagement, or eldercare services. Prior supervisory experience will be an advantage.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and evaluate programmes effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with seniors, volunteers, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Willingness to manage both 4S Active AgingCentre @ Eunos Crescent and 4S Eldercare Centre @ Eunos Crescent
