Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Lab Measurement Technician is responsible for performing dimensional measurements, inspections, and laboratory testing to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role supports production by providing accurate measurement data, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional measurements and inspections using laboratory measuring equipment (e.g., CMM, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, profile projectors, and other precision instruments).
  • Conduct first article, in-process, and final product inspections according to quality standards.
  • Record, analyze, and report measurement results accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure measuring instruments are properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Investigate measurement discrepancies and support root cause analysis for quality issues.
  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain laboratory documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with quality procedures, ISO standards, and company policies.
  • Support new product development, process validation, and engineering activities by providing measurement data.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.


Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Metrology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in quality inspection or laboratory measurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001/IATF 16949) is an advantage.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
