Job Summary

Join Carnaby Restaurant at Robertson Quay as a Line Cook, preparing and plating British comfort food with consistency and speed. Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain hygiene standards and support smooth service during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items efficiently and consistently following Chef Adam Penney's recipes and standards to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
• Set up and break down cooking stations and complete daily food preparation tasks to maintain kitchen readiness.
• Maintain strict compliance with NEA hygiene, food safety, and kitchen sanitation guidelines (HACCP/SFA) to ensure a safe food environment.
• Monitor stock levels regularly and report inventory needs promptly to the Sous Chef to support uninterrupted kitchen operations.
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen crew members to ensure smooth and timely service during peak hours.

Required competencies and certifications

• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by restaurant operations.
• Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience as a line cook or kitchen assistant in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Strong foundational cooking techniques demonstrated through consistent preparation and cooking of menu items.
• Attention to detail in food preparation and plating to meet quality standards.
