Role Description The Industrial Electronic System Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Puchong. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing industrial electronic and embedded systems for automation and control applications. The engineer will translate customer requirements into system architectures, perform circuit and hardware design, and integrate sensors, controllers, and communication interfaces such as CAN bus and other industrial protocols. Day-to-day tasks include system testing, troubleshooting, and optimization, preparing technical documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on turnkey solutions and product improvements. The role also supports Industry 4.0 initiatives by ensuring systems are compatible with IoT platforms, cloud-based monitoring, and data analytics, while providing technical guidance to customers and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Systems Engineering and Systems Design, with experience translating requirements into robust industrial solutions.
- Proficiency in Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering, including circuit design, industrial control hardware, and embedded systems.
- Experience in System Architecture for automation and control systems, including communication protocols, interfaces, and safety considerations.
- Hands-on experience with industrial automation technologies, PLCs, microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and fieldbus/industrial networks (e.g., CAN, Modbus, Ethernet-based systems).
- Ability to perform system testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting in industrial environments, including use of test equipment and debugging tools.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts, IoT-ready automation, cloud integration, data acquisition, and analytics is advantageous.
- Relevant degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and readiness to engage with customers on technical matters.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and standards.
