Responsibilities
- Support daily safety and security operations.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and support safety and security officers.
- Monitor CCTV, access control, patrols, alarms, visitors, and emergency procedures.
- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, safety checks, and security audits.
- Identify hazards and security risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Investigate accidents, injuries, theft, misconduct, and security incidents.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, investigation records, and shift logs.
- Ensure safety policies, security procedures, and company standards are followed.
- Assist with emergency plans, evacuation drills, first-aid arrangements, and business continuity activities.
- Respond professionally to emergencies, workplace violence, safety concerns, and other incidents.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and support to team members.
- Build strong relationships with employees, contractors, management, police, emergency services, and external providers.
- Take responsibility for safety and security operations when the manager is unavailable.
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent.
- A qualification in safety, security management, risk management, criminology, or a related field is preferred.
- At least two years of experience in safety, security, law enforcement, military, loss prevention, or a similar role.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of workplace safety, CCTV, access control, incident management, investigations, and emergency response.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make good decisions during emergencies.
- Strong attention to detail and report-writing skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and on-call shifts when required.
- Current security license, first-aid certificate, and relevant safety qualifications or certifications.
