About the Role
Join A2 Automation Sdn. Bhd., a growing system integrator specializing in ELV, ICT, Security, and Automation Solutions. As a Safety Coordinator, you will ensure all project sites comply with safety, health, and environmental requirements while promoting a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings before work starts.
- Ensure site activities comply with safety, health, environmental, legal, and company requirements.
- Identify and prevent unsafe acts and conditions at the workplace.
- Conduct risk assessments, HIRARC, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
- Coordinate with clients and main contractors on safety requirements.
- Implement and monitor the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
- Carry out regular site safety inspections and audits.
- Coordinate safety programs and ensure compliance with company safety procedures.
- Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Monitor workplace hazards such as noise, dust, chemicals, and gases.
- Stop unsafe work practices when necessary.
- Attend safety meetings and provide safety support.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior.
Requirements
- Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Good knowledge of OSHA guidelines and workplace safety practices.
- Familiar with HIRARC, JHA, and Permit to Work (PTW).
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel to project sites.
