Full Time Junior Accountant Jobs, Salary up to MYR 3,000 in Globetize Federal Territory - Maukerja

Location: 3Towers

Working Hours: 6 days a week

Salary: RM 2,500 to RM 3,000

Our client is a startup business in travel industry based in Kuala Lumpur, handling bookings, ticketing and payments to hotels and suppliers. They are looking for a junior accountant to take charge of their day to day bookkeeping and keep the financial records clean and current.

You would be employed directly by our client.This suits someone who wants real ownership of a set of books but would rather not be the only finance person in the room.

Responsibilities:

• Process payments and issue tickets for customers.
• Send payment receipts and confirmations to hotels, suppliers and other vendors.
• Record daily transactions in Xero, the accounting system used by the business.
• Perform bank reconciliations daily, or at minimum every two days.
• Keep supporting documents filed and in order so they stand up to review and audit.
• Work with the team on monthly reporting and year end audit preparation.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role (internship experience included).
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Familiarity with accounting software (Xero) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
