Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Draftsman to prepare accurate shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings for custom carpentry and joinery works. The successful candidate will work closely with designers, production teams, site supervisors, and clients to ensure all drawings are practical, accurate, and ready for manufacturing and installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings for custom furniture, cabinetry, wardrobes, doors, wall panels, and other joinery works.
• Produce fabrication and production drawings for factory manufacturing.
• Interpret architectural and interior design drawings into production-ready drawings.
• Take site measurements when required.
• Coordinate with designers, project managers, and site teams to resolve drawing discrepancies.
• Revise drawings according to client comments, consultant instructions, and site conditions.
• Prepare cutting lists, material schedules, and hardware schedules.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and company standards.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision records.
• Assist the production team during fabrication and installation.
• Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.
• Support quantity take-offs and material estimation when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in carpentry, cabinetry, or joinery drafting.
• Proficient in:
• AutoCAD (mandatory)
• SketchUp (preferred)
• Microsoft Office
• Cabinet Vision, SolidWorks, or similar software (an advantage)
• Good understanding of: Woodworking materials, Joinery construction details, Furniture manufacturing, Able to read architectural and interior drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
