  • Conduct sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening to identify AML, sanctions and reputational risks.
  • Obtain and analyse client information through official registries, public sources and other relevant databases to support CDD assessments.
  • Take ownership of assigned cases by proactively engaging brokers, Compliance, Credit Risk, Legal, Operations and other stakeholders to resolve outstanding issues and drive cases to completion.
  • Demonstrate initiative by identifying information gaps, asking the right questions and following up independently, rather than waiting for direction.
  • Build a strong understanding of products, legal entities and onboarding processes by actively engaging with business stakeholders and participating in project discussions.
  • Liaise directly with Front Office staff and, where appropriate, clients to obtain outstanding CDD documentation.
  • Review existing client records to identify documentation gaps and ensure periodic reviews are completed within required timeframes.
  • Maintain accurate records within internal systems and ensure all supporting documentation is complete and up to date.

  • Support regulatory, audit and management information requests.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute ideas to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the CDD function.
  • Be alert to conduct, financial crime and reputational risks, escalating issues appropriately.

  • Previous experience working directly with Front Office or Relationship Managers.
  • Prior Quality Assurance or Quality Checking experience is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to assess risk and identify missing information.
  • A proactive, self-driven mindset with the confidence to engage stakeholders, ask questions and independently drive work to completion.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to understand business products, workflows and regulatory requirements rather than simply processing requests.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple deadlines and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will not simply process onboarding requests. They will take ownership of their portfolio, proactively engage stakeholders, ask thoughtful questions to understand the underlying business, and independently drive cases to completion. They will be comfortable working with brokers, Compliance, Legal, Credit Risk and Operations, and will actively seek to understand how new products, projects and regulatory changes impact the CDD process. They are naturally curious, responsive and willing to take initiative without waiting for instructions.
