We are looking for an experienced AI Solutions Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of AI-powered capabilities across our portfolio of enterprise software products.

In this role, you will define the company’s AI technology strategy, evaluate emerging AI technologies, design intelligent AI agents, and lead the engineering team in delivering secure, scalable, and production-ready AI solutions.

You will work closely with product managers, software architects, and development teams to integrate AI into our cloud and on-premise applications, including accounting, payroll, point-of-sale (POS), and other business software.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring strong software architecture expertise, practical experience building production AI systems, and the ability to mentor engineers while driving AI adoption throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Technical Leadership

• Define and drive the company’s AI technology roadmap.
• Design the overall AI architecture across multiple software products.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical adoption strategies.
• Define AI development standards, architecture guidelines, and engineering best practices.
• Lead the technical implementation of AI initiatives from concept through production.
• Collaborate with product owners and engineering teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities.
• Mentor and coach software engineers on AI technologies, architecture, and implementation best practices.
• Promote AI knowledge sharing and technical excellence across the engineering organization.

AI Agent Development

• Design and implement intelligent AI agents capable of automating business processes and assisting end users.
• Design agentic workflows involving planning, reasoning, memory, and task execution.
• Build AI agents capable of securely interacting with APIs, databases, enterprise systems, and external services using tool/function calling.
• Design multi-agent architectures where appropriate.
• Continuously improve AI agent reliability, accuracy, performance, and user experience.

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

• Design and implement scalable Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Build document ingestion, indexing, and knowledge management pipelines.
• Optimize document chunking, embedding strategies, hybrid search, reranking, and retrieval quality.
• Evaluate retrieval performance using measurable metrics.
• Reduce hallucinations and continuously improve answer quality.
• Design reusable knowledge retrieval services that can be shared across multiple products.

Large Language Model (LLM) Integration

• Integrate commercial and open-source LLMs into enterprise software.
• Evaluate AI models based on quality, latency, scalability, operational cost, and licensing.
• Implement prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool/function calling, and model evaluation.
• Design strategies for model selection and fallback mechanisms.
• Monitor and continuously improve AI response quality.

AI Platform & Enterprise Integration

• Design reusable AI services and shared infrastructure for multiple software products.
• Integrate AI into cloud and on-premise enterprise applications.
• Design scalable APIs and backend services for AI components.
• Integrate AI with existing business systems, databases, APIs, and third-party services.
• Ensure AI solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective.
• Work closely with frontend, backend, DevOps, QA, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

AI Evaluation, Quality & Operations

• Design evaluation frameworks to measure AI quality, accuracy, latency, and user satisfaction.
• Establish regression testing processes for prompts, RAG pipelines, and AI agents.
• Monitor production AI systems and continuously improve performance and reliability.
• Optimize AI infrastructure, token usage, and operational costs.
• Troubleshoot production AI issues and drive continuous improvement.

AI Governance & Security

• Implement AI security best practices and guardrails.
• Ensure secure handling of confidential customer and business data.
• Design AI systems that comply with privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement responsible AI practices to reduce hallucinations, unsafe outputs, and data leakage.
• Monitor AI usage, cost, performance, and operational health.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience designing and building AI or LLM-powered applications.

• Proven experience deploying AI applications into production environments.

• Strong software architecture and system design experience.

• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring development teams.

• Strong programming skills in C#/.NET or similar enterprise development platforms.

• Experience designing scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs.

• Experience working with cloud infrastructure and containerized applications.
