The job location is based in Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan. 

As a QC Microbiological Laboratory Intern, you will work closely with microbiologists and laboratory analysts to support food safety, quality assurance, and laboratory operations within a leading dairy manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Assist in microbiological testing of raw materials, environmental monitoring samples, water, intermediate products, and finished goods.
• Support culture media preparation, sample handling, sample management, and routine laboratory operations.
• Record, compile, review, and trend microbiological testing results and laboratory performance metrics.
• Assist in preparing laboratory reports and supporting data visualization and reporting improvement initiatives.
• Support laboratory documentation management, including filing, archiving, record maintenance, and document control activities.
• Assist in the review and update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, forms, test methods, and other quality management documents.
• Support Chemrade chemical management activities, including:
  • Chemical inventory verification and tracking
  • Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management
  • Chemical hazard classification review
  • Maintenance of chemical records within the centralized management system
• Assist with laboratory inventory management, housekeeping, equipment organization, and compliance-related activities.
• Support investigations, root cause analysis, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) follow-up, and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), food safety requirements, laboratory procedures, and company health, safety, and quality standards.

The QC Microbiological Laboratory team plays a critical role in safeguarding product quality and food safety at Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad. The laboratory is responsible for microbiological testing of raw materials, production environments, utilities, and finished products to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and FrieslandCampina quality requirements.The team works closely with Production, Quality Assurance, SHE, and Technical departments to support operational excellence, food safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Interns will gain practical experience in microbiological testing, laboratory quality systems, chemical management (Chemrade), documentation control, data analytics, and improvement projects while working alongside experienced microbiology professionals.
