We’re looking for a skilled
Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives, ensure compliance, and promote a safe working environment across all operations.
Job Summary
- Responsible for the operation, maintenance, testing, and certification of Life Safety Equipment and Systems, including proper maintenance of logbooks and records.
- Conduct Life Safety Training for all hotel employees at the appropriate level.
- Supervise hotel fire and smoke compartments, including all designated escape routes and emergency exits.
- Monitor hotel compliance with the requirements of the Shangri-La Group Safety & Loss Manual, report any deviations, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Requirement
- Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in an industrial environment (e.g., electrical services), fire engineering, firefighting, or a hotel engineering division. Experience in facilities management is preferred.
- Pass the assessment conducted by Shangri-La Group Engineering.
- To pass FLSM certification assessment:
- Registered, licensed, or certified by a state or local authority to perform fire safety engineering duties; or
- Certified by a nationally recognized certification organization; or
- Demonstrated competency through relevant training and practical experience.
- Fluent in both oral and written English and the local language.
- Tactful, goal-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated.
