Position : Senior Software Engineer (Back-End)

Salary : RM 7,000 – RM 9,000

Location : Damansara Uptown

Working Days / Time : 8.30am – 5.30pm (Mon-Fri)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer (Back-End) to design, build, and optimize robust backend systems powering business-critical applications, including POS, ERP, and warehouse management systems. The ideal candidate is proficient in C# and .NET technologies, capable of delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions while mentoring junior developers and driving best practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain backend components for Windows desktop and web applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Lead technical design discussions and translate business requirements into scalable system architectures.
• Participate in the full SDLC, from requirements analysis to deployment and post-production support.
• Develop and maintain RESTful or SOAP-based Web APIs for seamless system integrations.
• Optimize backend processes, database queries, and application performance for efficiency and scalability.
• Support and enhance existing systems, including POS, ERP, and warehouse management platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.
• Maintain high coding standards, implement design patterns, and document technical specifications.
• Collaborate with QA, product, and operations teams to ensure solution quality and business alignment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including refactoring, automation, and modernization of legacy systems.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote technical best practices.
• Handle ad-hoc system enhancements and urgent production support as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of hands-on backend development experience using C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, Entity Framework, and related frameworks.
• Solid experience with relational databases (MS SQL, MySQL), including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience designing and consuming REST/SOAP Web Services and integrating third-party systems (payment gateways, hardware interfaces).
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or structured SDLC environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of deliverables.
• Prior experience in POS, ERP, or business operation systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of scalable architectures, high-volume transaction systems, and performance optimization is an advantage.

Pay: Up to RM9,000.00 per month
