Sales Assistant Manager
Job Summary
The Sales Assistant Manager will support the Sales Manager in leading the sales team, developing strategic sales plans, and achieving revenue targets. This role requires a proactive leader who can motivate team members, build strong client relationships, and identify new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Sales Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies and action plans to drive revenue growth
- Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for management review
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities
- Contribute to sales forecasting and budgeting to align with business objectives
- Supervise, mentor, and coach junior sales representatives to enhance team performance and skills
- Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions to support continuous development
- Assist in recruiting, training, and onboarding new sales team members to build a capable sales force
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and strategic partners to ensure customer satisfaction
- Manage escalated client issues promptly and effectively to maintain high service standards
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts to maximize revenue
- Participate actively in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure business deals
- Coordinate with marketing, product development, and other departments to align sales efforts and strategies
- Ensure accurate maintenance of CRM data and sales documentation for effective sales tracking
- Assist in setting individual sales targets and performance standards to motivate the team
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and sales materials to support sales activities
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience in the fashion clothing industry is highly preferred
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong leadership and people management skills demonstrated through team development
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities applied in client interactions
- Strategic thinking with analytical and problem-solving skills to support sales planning
