About Kemuri Coffee Co.

Kemuri Coffee Co. is a new café concept focused on specialty coffee, matcha, hojicha and freshly prepared café food. We are looking for an experienced and dependable Barista who can consistently prepare high-quality beverages while contributing to smooth daily café operations.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in beverage quality, customer service, cleanliness and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare espresso-based beverages, including espresso, Americano, latte, flat white, cappuccino and mocha.

Prepare matcha, hojicha and other specialty beverages according to established recipes.

Dial in espresso grinders and adjust extraction variables to maintain beverage consistency.

Texture milk accurately and produce basic latte art.

Prepare and serve toasties, paninis and other light café food when required.

Provide friendly, attentive and professional customer service.

Take customer orders and process payments through the point-of-sale system.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation across the coffee bar, preparation area, kitchen and customer spaces.

Carry out opening and closing procedures.

Monitor ingredient and packaging stock levels and report replenishment needs.

Follow food hygiene, workplace safety and café operating procedures.

Support the Restaurant Manager during busy service periods.

Assist with product development, tastings and improvements to beverage recipes.

Help train junior or part-time team members when required.

Requirements

At least 1 year of relevant barista or café experience.

Hands-on experience preparing espresso-based coffee beverages.

Experience preparing matcha and other non-coffee beverages is preferred.

Basic latte-art capability.

Understanding of espresso extraction, grinder adjustment and milk texturing.

Experience preparing toasties, paninis or other light café food is an advantage.

Strong customer-service and communication skills.

Able to work efficiently during busy periods.

Reliable, punctual and comfortable working as part of a small team.

Willing to perform cleaning, food preparation and general café duties.

Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are preferred.
