Job Summary

Lead and supervise electrical installation and commissioning of lift systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project schedules while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and optimized elevator solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cable routing, termination, earthing, control panels, motor wiring, and integration with building systems to ensure seamless electrical installation of lift systems
• Supervise daily electrical installation works including controllers, motor drives, call stations, wiring, sensors, and safety circuits to maintain quality and adherence to specifications
• Coordinate with mechanical teams to verify shaft readiness, power supply, and interface works for efficient project execution
• Ensure all installations comply with approved shop drawings, method statements, and manufacturer instructions to meet regulatory and quality standards
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of lift systems to guarantee operational readiness and safety
• Verify correct installation of safety devices, limit switches, interlocks, and emergency systems to uphold system integrity and user safety
• Enforce lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), permit-to-work, and safe access procedures in lift shafts to maintain site safety compliance
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize system performance
• Support breakdown rectification, adjustments, and performance optimization to ensure continuous lift operation
• Monitor project progress against schedule and report status to management for informed decision-making

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in Electrical / Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical works for lift/elevator systems with site supervision responsibilities
• Proficient knowledge of Singapore codes and regulations including BCA, EMA, MOM, and SS/CP standards
• Skilled in interpreting drawings, following method statements, and adhering to manufacturer requirements
• Strong understanding and application of site safety protocols

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Knowledge of lift controllers, motor drives, safety circuits, interlocks, and earthing systems
• Experience in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover of lift systems
• Effective coordination skills with mechanical teams and main contractors
