The Role (*Please note that this is a non-finance trade role.)

Join our team on a 6-month contract and enjoy the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, international trading environment. You will begin your journey here by understudying the Trading Manager and understanding the 5W1H of their plans, actions, and techniques for wholesale buying and selling of chemical fertilisers. Over time, you will build knowledge in customer and supplier relations, business and product development, and risk management.

Conduct market/industry research and analysis and propose trade ideas.

Create business presentation, marketing materials and prepare reports to support business initiatives.

Prepare sales and purchase contract documents.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of trade transactions.

Collaborate with Overseas Offices on various trade matters.

Record, pack, and store inventory samples.

Familiarise yourself with Incoterms as you will need to work closely with the Operations Team on shipment matters.

Provide administrative support to a small team of Traders.

Coordinate team admin and scheduling matters such as leave, overseas work trips, and meetings.

Participate in business networking and engagement activities with trade partners and associates.

May be required to travel overseas for business meetings and conferences.

Carry out any other duties needed to achieve organisational and team goals.

We are looking for the one who:

Possesses strong analytical, negotiation, comprehension, and problem-solving skills.

Pays attention to people and details.

Is business savvy.

Is fluent in English and one additional language, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Has a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business/ Economics/ Finance, from a reputable university.
