About the Role
The QAQC Assistant supports the QAQC Inspector & QAQC Assistant in performing routine quality assurance and quality control tasks across slickline operations. The role involves assisting with inspection, documentation, equipment verification, ensuring that all lifting and cargo handling equipment is properly secured, compliant, and maintained to company, clients and industry standards.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the QAQC the inspector in conducting routine inspections on slickline tool, equipment, and materials.
- Help ensure all equipment meets company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Supports in identifying non- conformities and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain QAQC documentation including inspection checklist, reports, and equipment records.
- Assist in calibration checks and verification of measuring tools under QAQC supervision.
- Assist in securing lifting equipment according to Lifting Requirements or Guidelines.
- Support the QAQC Inspector in inspecting and tagging lifting gear to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Help ensure cargo handling equipment is properly prepared before mobilization.
- Maintain records of lifting equipment condition, certification validity, and inspection due dates.
- Assist in preparing equipment for job packages as instructed by the QAQC Inspectors.
- Coordinate with workshop and operations teams for equipment flow, repair, and readiness.
- Follow all HSE guidelines and participate in toolbox talks, risk assessment, etc.
- Report any hazards, unsafe practices, or equipment defects immediately to the QAQC inspector.
- Support in ensuring all quality and safety procedures is adhered to during operations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Technical Diploma in Engineering, Petroleum Services, Quality Management or related field. Certificate in related field comes with minimum 2 years’ experience acceptable.
- Basic understanding in oilfield, slickline, or lifting operations (training provided).
- NDT Level II (MT, PT, VT) preferred but not mandatory.
- Working knowledge of computer software – Microsoft Office (Excel, Words & Power Point).
