JOB SUMMARY

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of assigned electrical engineering projects. The role involves providing technical support, coordinating electrical works, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, project requirements, safety standards, and approved project timelines.

The Electrical Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, Electrical Managers, site teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and project activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements.

The role plays an important part in delivering Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects and other electrical infrastructure works while maintaining quality, safety, and operational standards.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Electrical Project Support & Execution

• Assist in the planning and execution of electrical engineering works in accordance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and company procedures.
• Support Project Managers and Electrical Managers in monitoring project progress, technical activities, and site requirements.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure electrical works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.
• Provide technical support and recommendations to resolve site issues and project challenges.

2. Technical & Engineering Support

• Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documents.
• Assist in the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems and equipment.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure works are completed according to project requirements and quality standards.
• Support troubleshooting and rectification of electrical-related issues during project execution.
• Assist in reviewing technical submissions, shop drawings, and engineering documents.

3. Project Coordination & Documentation

• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, inspection records, testing reports, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, clients, contractors, and suppliers on technical matters.
• Assist in monitoring project schedules, work progress, and material requirements.
• Support preparation of project reports, variation orders, and other project-related documentation.

4. Testing & Commissioning

• Assist in electrical testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems and equipment.
• Ensure testing procedures are carried out according to approved standards and client requirements.
• Support the preparation of testing reports and commissioning documentation.
• Coordinate with relevant parties during system handover activities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in Transmission & Distribution (T&D), substation, power systems, or electrical infrastructure projects.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may also be considered.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, protection systems, testing and commissioning, and electrical engineering standards.
• Experience in reviewing electrical drawings, technical documents, and project specifications.
• Familiarity with project execution, site coordination, and construction activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Information

• Travel: This role may require occasional travel to project sites and client meetings.
• Work Environment: The position involves a combination of office-based work and field visits.
