Principal CRM Engineer

About the Role

One of our key clients is looking for an experienced Principal CRM Engineer to lead the architecture, modernization, and continuous evolution of enterprise CRM and Order Management platforms.

This is a senior technical leadership role where you will define scalable architecture, improve platform reliability, and drive cloud-native transformation initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build high-performing, resilient systems that support customer lifecycle management, order fulfilment, and digital business capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long-term architecture for enterprise CRM and Order Management platforms.
• Design scalable, resilient, and high-performance solutions to support customer onboarding, product management, and order fulfilment.
• Establish architecture standards for microservices, API design, workflow orchestration, and data integration.
• Lead modernization initiatives by transforming legacy platforms into cloud-native, service-oriented architectures.
• Improve platform scalability, reliability, and system performance through architecture enhancements and optimization.
• Develop integration strategies across CRM, billing, provisioning, and enterprise applications.
• Define best practices for API governance, service contracts, security, versioning, and system interoperability.
• Drive technical excellence by reducing technical debt and promoting modular, maintainable application design.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and containerized deployments.
• Establish monitoring, observability, logging, and performance management standards across the platform.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
• Mentor senior engineers on solution design, engineering best practices, and complex technical problem-solving.
• Partner with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality enterprise solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience in enterprise architecture and distributed systems.
• Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale CRM, Order Management, BSS, or OSS platforms.
• Strong background in enterprise application integration and cloud-native architectures.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and influence engineering standards across multiple teams.
