Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, including general X-ray and other imaging procedures as assigned.
• Verify patient identity and examination requests before performing procedures.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
• Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all imaging examinations comply with radiation protection and safety regulations.
• Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond appropriately to any emergencies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
• Collaborate with radiologists, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging rooms and equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions promptly and coordinate maintenance when necessary.
• Ensure adequate stock of radiology consumables and supplies.
• Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities.
• Comply with hospital policies, infection prevention and control procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
• Participate in continuing education, mandatory training, and professional development activities.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Department or Management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Diagnostic Imaging, Medical Imaging, or Radiography.
• Registered with the relevant professional regulatory body (where applicable).
• Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC), if required by local regulations.

Experience

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Prior clinical experience in diagnostic imaging is an added advantage.
• Experience with digital radiography (DR), computed radiography (CR), CT, MRI, mammography, fluoroscopy, or other imaging modalities is an advantage.

Knowledge and Skills

• Sound knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques.
• Understanding of radiation protection and patient safety principles.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
• Ability to operate radiology equipment and related computer systems (RIS/PACS).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Good problem-solving and time management skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and on-call duties as required.

Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
