Role Description The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, partnerships, and corporate accounts to grow revenue across RJJ Hotels’ portfolio. Day-to-day activities include prospecting and qualifying leads, preparing proposals and presentations, conducting sales visits, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients. The role also involves analyzing market trends, monitoring competitor activity, and collaborating with operations and marketing teams to design and implement effective sales and growth strategies. This is a full-time, on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur, requiring regular engagement with local and regional partners, travel for client meetings as needed, and participation in industry events and trade shows.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in business development, sales, and account management within hospitality or related industries.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and translate insights into practical commercial strategies.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for engaging with corporate clients and partners.
- Proficiency in relationship building, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience using CRM systems, MS Office, and basic data reporting tools to manage pipelines and track performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Prior experience in hotel or tourism sector business development is highly advantageous; additional language proficiency is a plus.
