About the Role
We are a professional services firm providing accounting, finance, and advisory solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients. We are looking for an Accounting Manager to lead our client servicing function by acting as a trusted advisor on accounting and financial matters.
The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of SME clients, oversee the quality of accounting deliverables, and mentor a team of accounting professionals to ensure high service standards and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts and serve as the primary point of contact for accounting-related matters.
- Review financial statements, management accounts, and accounting work prepared by the team to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Plan resources effectively and allocate assignments across the team.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and on-the-job training to develop team members' technical competencies.
- Review work performed by clients' accounting personnel and provide recommendations for improvement where necessary.
- Monitor staff performance and support their professional development.
- Track work progress and ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Advise clients on accounting, financial reporting, and tax-related matters while maintaining strong client relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or client accounting services.
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and accounting best practices.
- Experience reviewing financial reports and analysing financial information.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or CA are advantageous but not mandatory.
