Job Summary
The Retail Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, supervising staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, achieving sales targets, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The supervisor is expected to lead by example and maintain efficient store operations while supporting the overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Education
- Minimum SPM or equivalent.
- Higher education qualifications are an added advantage but not compulsory.
- Candidates with strong retail experience, leadership ability, and good work attitude are highly encouraged to apply.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of retail experience.
- Previous experience supervising a team is preferred.
- Experience in managing daily shop operations, staff discipline, and customer issues is an advantage.

- Strong and confident personality with the ability to lead and make decisions.
- Firm, disciplined, and able to enforce company rules and procedures.
- Not afraid to correct staff when standards are not followed.
- Able to handle difficult situations, customer complaints, and workplace issues professionally.

- Good judgement and the ability to act quickly when problems arise.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Mature attitude with strong integrity and commitment.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to motivate staff and maintain teamwork.
- Able to manage staff performance, attendance, and discipline.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems, inventory control, and Microsoft Excel.
- Physically fit and able to handle the demands of a retail environment.
- Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours when required.
