Job Summary

G2R Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an IT Assistant Engineer to support and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, and technical operations. The role involves providing technical support to users, maintaining IT systems, assisting in infrastructure projects, and supporting IT documentation and tender activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for end-users, including computers, laptops, printers, software, and IT applications.
  • Maintain and support IT infrastructure including servers, network systems, firewall, backup solutions, and security systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting and monitoring of network and system performance to ensure reliable IT services.
  • Support IT infrastructure projects, system implementation, and technical improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, proposals, and assist in tender submission activities.
  • Manage IT assets, software licenses, warranties, and coordinate with vendors for maintenance and support.
  • Support information security activities, including ISO/IEC 27001:2022 ISMS compliance and security awareness initiatives.
  • Provide technical support for company meetings, events, and audio-visual (AV) requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or technical support.
  • Knowledge of networking, server administration, cybersecurity, and Microsoft technologies.
  • Familiar with Windows Server, Linux OS, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), NAS, backup solutions, and network security solutions.
  • Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to prepare technical documentation and support IT projects/tender activities.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,400.00 per month
