Responsibilities:-
- Perform QC inspection on product in accordance with engineering drawing according to specification and customer requirements.
- Inspect first-article and production parts for dimensional accuracy, flatness, and edge quality against engineering drawings
- Check weld integrity, penetration, and alignment; ensure parts match weldment prints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
- Record inspection data, complete material traceability logs, and issue First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
- Identify non-conforming materials, isolate defective parts, and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
- Support to Engineer on quality failure investigation with provide accurate and precise measurement analysis data.
- To report any findings during inspection to the superior for further action. Provide feedback to manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve root causes of product defects
- Calibrate and maintain precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages, and coating thickness meters, and others. Upkeep of measuring equipment and ensure equipment are calibrated as per schedule
- Run dimensional measurements on parts, assemblies, and raw materials using CMM hardware alongside hand tools like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Create, test, and optimize CMM inspection programs utilizing CAD models or technical blueprints.
- Pack finished product in accordance with standard packaging procedures.
- To ensure all quality requirements are complied.
- Prepare QC related documents.
- Documents and maintain accurate records of inspection results.
- Perform good housekeeping & 5S practice at work area in plant and workplace.
- Any other task assigned.
Requirements :
· Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Machining, or a related manufacturing discipline.
· 2+ years of QC experience in a sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, or precision engineering environment.
· Experience with CMM software programming and reading CAD models.
· Advanced ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, welding symbols, and GD&T callouts
· Proficiency with manual inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, protractors) and experience with advanced equipment (e.g., CMM, portable measuring arms, or optical comparators)
