Faststream Recruitment has partnered with an organization who is looking for an Assistant Line Manager to join their team. 

Responsibilities:

• Support the daily operational and commercial management of assigned feeder services.
• Monitor vessel movements at sea and in port, maintaining close communication with masters and overseas agents.
• Manage space allocation, overbooking, cargo selection, and booking forecasts to maximize vessel utilization.
• Update and communicate vessel schedules to internal teams, agents, and customers.
• Monitor vessel speed and bunker consumption to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with charter requirements.
• Review bunker survey reports and investigate any discrepancies in fuel quantities.
• Coordinate daily correspondence relating to vessel schedules, space management, and freight pricing.
• Prepare weekly operational and performance reports.
• Where assigned, manage third-party services and contribute to improving profitability through effective space utilization and pricing.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Business, Business Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience within a shipping line or liner trade. Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
