Role Description The Quality Control Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Pasir Gudang, responsible for ensuring that raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products meet internal specifications and regulatory standards. Daily tasks include performing routine laboratory tests, sampling and inspection, documenting results, and reporting non-conformities to relevant stakeholders. The specialist collaborates closely with production, quality assurance, and R&D teams to investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves maintaining quality control instruments, following Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines, and supporting internal and external audits. This position requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and compliance within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in quality disciplines, including Quality Control and Quality Assurance, to ensure consistent product standards.
• Experience with Quality Management practices to support systematic process improvement and compliance.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) to uphold regulatory and industry requirements in a production setting.
• Ability to perform or support Quality Auditing activities to verify adherence to procedures and identify areas for enhancement.
• Diploma or degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• Experience in personal care, cosmetics, chemicals, or related manufacturing industries is an advantage.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment, data recording systems, and basic statistical tools for analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to document findings clearly and accurately.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to environmental and regulatory guidelines.
