A Utilities Maintenance Engineer ensures the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of utility systems, including HVAC, water, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on utility systems to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment malfunctions
- Implement corrective actions and system upgrades as needed to maintain operational efficiency
- Monitor and manage utility systems, including water treatment, energy distribution, and HVAC systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and maintenance records
- Collaborate with operations teams, contractors, and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks
- Train and supervise junior maintenance staff or technicians
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
- Technical expertise: Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and utility infrastructure
- Problem-solving and diagnostic skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex system issues efficiently
- Leadership and communication: Capable of coordinating with teams, supervising staff, and documenting maintenance activities
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,300.00 per month
