Process Excellence Manager, GTS, Petaling Jaya
Get to Know the Role
You will lead process improvement and capability-building engagements that turn high-friction, high-volume workflows into leaner, AI-assisted ones — and you will personally train the functional teams who carry that change forward. This is a hands-on practitioner-coach role: part process expert, part trainer, part embedded project guide across a structured 16-week improvement cycle.
You will report to the Head, AI Process Innovation. This role is based onsite in our Kuala Lumpur office, and includes periodic travel within Southeast Asia to deliver in-person training and project reviews. As our Citizen Developer programme scales from its first Finance cohort toward functions across the region, you will help shape how a growing community of functional builders learns to improve their own work. If you would rather build capability than write about it, and you want your impact measured in real results, we would love to hear from you.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will lead end-to-end process improvement engagements across business functions — diagnosing current-state workflows, quantifying inefficiency with real operational data, redesigning leaner processes, and tracking measurable impact through to delivery.
- You will deliver Lean Six Sigma training (DMAIC) to Citizen Developer cohorts, facilitating practical, hands-on workshops designed for non-technical business professionals at cohort kickoff and throughout each project phase, travelling to the Customer's Southeast Asia offices to deliver this training in person where it materially improves cohort outcomes.
- You will build customer-specific training curriculum and content, adapting Lean Six Sigma frameworks into worked examples drawn from real functional use cases — such as Finance month-end closes, contract reviews, and support queues — rather than generic textbook scenarios.
- You will provide hands-on coaching to cohort participants across a 16-week implementation cycle, including data analysis for baselining, value-add and non-value-add step identification, root cause analysis, productivity measurement, and running the project tollgate reviews with functional sponsors.
- You will identify where AI tools and automation can replace manual steps, partnering with our platform teams to design AI-assisted workflows and using generative AI for data analysis, process documentation, and solution ideation to accelerate every engagement.
- You will build an industry-leading AI-augmented process reengineering capability for the Customer — working hands-on with frontier AI models and emerging agentic tooling to prototype, test, and operationalise approaches that go well beyond off-the-shelf automation, and codifying the repeatable patterns others across the region learn from.
- You will capture reusable playbooks, templates, and standard operating procedures from each engagement, building a library that functional teams and future cohorts can operate independently.
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- You will have 5–7 years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, management consulting, or business transformation, with a track record of owning engagements end-to-end from diagnosis through to measured impact.
- You will hold a Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt minimum, Black Belt preferred) and be able to apply DMAIC tools — value stream mapping, SIPOC, root cause analysis, and control charts — to real business workflows.
- You will have delivered structured training or facilitation to non-technical audiences, and will be able to build your own training content rather than only delivering off-the-shelf material.
- You will be able to construct a quantified baseline and a defensible before-and-after impact analysis from raw operational data, and present it credibly to senior functional sponsors.
- You will have hands-on experience with at least one process automation or workflow tool, such as n8n, Workato, UiPath, or Power Automate.
- You have experience engaging with AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, improve workflows, and contribute new ideas.
