Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients' physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental needs and develops individualised treatment plans to improve independence and quality of life. The therapist works with patients to enhance their ability to perform daily activities such as dressing, eating, bathing, working, and participating in school or community life.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, sensory, and psychosocial abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve daily living, motor, cognitive, and functional skills.
- Teach patients and caregivers techniques for safe and independent functioning.
- Recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Diplomas, or Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy
- Valid Occupational Therapist license or registration.
- CPR/BLS certification (if required).
- Clinical experience in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, schools, or outpatient settings is preferred.

Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
