Responsibilities:

• System Operations: Manage 11kV/33kV high tension (HT) switchgears, transformers, and low tension (LT) distribution boards. Perform safe electrical switching and isolations.
• Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance plans for electrical machinery, backup generator sets, and sub-station equipment.
• Troubleshooting: Respond swiftly to electrical power failures, machine trips, or technical breakdowns and restore supply safely.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to local regulations under Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) guidelines, the Electricity Supply Act, and occupational safety standards. Handle liaison with utility providers like TNB and local authorities.
• Record Keeping: Track daily power consumption trends, update equipment inventory, and file maintenance reports.

Authorities:

• Competent Person Status: Holds legal authorization under the Electricity Supply Act and Regulations to control, operate, and maintain electrical installations.
• Statutory Compliance: Accountable for ensuring the factory's electrical distribution complies with energy regulations, safety codes, and local utility standards.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve sudden power outages or equipment faults to minimize manufacturing downtime.

Academic Qualification: Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical trade background.

Skills & Experience:

• Proficient in reading electrical circuit diagrams, troubleshooting VFD/PLC systems, and administering first aid/CPR for electrical shock victims.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on working experience in high-tension electrical operations and maintenance.
• Certification: Valid Chargeman B0 Competency Certificate (11kV or higher) issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
