Site Supervisor (Civil & Structural - C&S)
Job Summary
The Site Supervisor (C&S) is responsible for overseeing daily site operations related to civil and structural construction works. The role ensures that all activities comply with project specifications, safety regulations, quality standards, and project schedules while coordinating with contractors, consultants, and project management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily civil and structural construction activities on-site.
- Monitor work progress to ensure projects are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, workers, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and local authority requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality workmanship.
- Identify construction issues and report them promptly to the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
- Verify materials delivered to the site meet project specifications.
- Monitor manpower, equipment, and material usage.
- Maintain daily site reports, progress records, and inspection checklists.
- Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions on-site.
- Assist in resolving technical and construction-related issues.
- Monitor work against project timelines and recommend corrective actions when delays occur.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes and engineering standards.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Possession of a Site Supervisor Certificate (where required by local regulations) is an advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience supervising civil and structural construction projects.
- Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and structural plans.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site practices.
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations.
Working Conditions
- Primarily based at construction sites.
- May require overtime, weekend work, or shift work depending on project requirements.
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
