Job Purpose

The IT Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of IT operations and cybersecurity across all Navis offices.

The role ensures the reliable delivery of IT helpdesk and end-user support, oversees 24/7 cybersecurity monitoring and detection in collaboration with the MSSP, and manages and develops the IT infrastructure and applications. Given the nature of the role, the IT Manager must be proactive, technically competent, and willing to take a hands-on approach to resolving issues in a timely manner. On an ad hoc basis, the IT Manager may be required to provide personalized, out-of-office hours IT support to members of the partnership group.

The role is also responsible for implementing and enforcing approved IT and cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures, and ensuring compliance with technology risk management requirements. Additionally, the IT Manager is expected to identify opportunities to improve existing infrastructure and systems.

Job Accountabilities

• Co-develop and execute strategic initiatives with the Senior IT Manager ensure end-user support covering IT infrastructure and devices, network and connectivity, and digital workspace, digital, and AI applications (either by providing such services or working with the IT executive to ensure seamless and high service levels).
• Co-develop company policies and procedures with the IT Senior Manager and overall, manage the health, maintenance, and availability of IT infrastructure, network, connectivity, and applications.
• Own and manage day-to-day cybersecurity controls and monitoring, such as email security, endpoint protection and detection, identity and access management, and vulnerability monitoring and patch deployment.
• Manage the outsourced SOC and conduct reviews of material alerts as per the agreed frequency.
• Implement approved IT and cybersecurity policies, procedures, standards, and controls.
• Implement mandated technology risk management controls to comply with regulatory requirements.
• Evaluated and deploy approved digital and AI applications.
• Manage IT vendors and conduct periodic service performance reviews.
• Maintain and track IT assets in the IT asset register and conduct periodic inventory audits.
• Proactively engage and communicate with senior leadership, members of the partnership group, and key stakeholders.
• Manage internal and external auditors, including coordinating IT audit activities and ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Certificates: Preferred but not mandatory. Certifications in Microsoft Azure or Microsoft 365 administration, ITIL, CompTIA Security+, and CISM or CISSP are advantageous.
• Total Relevant Experience: More than 8 years
• Total Relevant Managerial Experience: At least 2–3 years of experience supervising an IT team and managing IT vendors.
• Candidates from financial services, private equity, asset management, or professional services are preferred.
• More than 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital applications.
• Experience and technical skills implementing or managing secure access service edge and zero trust network access, network and routing concepts, network and port address translation, cloud computing, and virtual machine administration.
• Experience in geographically diverse user environment.
• Experience managing, configuring, and supporting communication technologies, such as MS Teams and Zoom.
• Require technical skills and hands-on experience managing and administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune endpoint management, Microsoft Windows Server, core networking (including firewalls and VPNs), endpoint security, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Technical skills in implementing cybersecurity controls and solutions, including endpoint protection, active threat monitoring and detection, identity and access management, privilege access management, etc.
• Experience with data protection requirements and deploying DLP solutions.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as waterfall and Agile, is desirable in addition to prior experience deploying digital and AI applications.
• Practical experience with AI applications is advantageous, including knowledge in managing the use of AI responsibly and securely.
• Practical knowledge and experience handling business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response.
• Experience working with internal and external auditors and responding to audit requests and questions.
