Role Description The Qualitative Researcher role at Atlas Workspace is a full-time, on-site position based in Singapore. In this role, the researcher designs and conducts qualitative studies to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points, using methods such as interviews, field observations, and diary studies. The researcher synthesizes findings into clear insights, builds research frameworks and knowledge maps, and collaborates with product and design teams to inform feature development and strategic decisions. Day-to-day tasks include planning research projects, recruiting participants, collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports and presentations, and maintaining a structured, verifiable research repository within Atlas. The role also involves partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure research outcomes are integrated into decision-making and product roadmaps.
Qualifications
  • Strong qualitative research skills, including Research and Ethnography, with experience designing and executing studies focused on user behavior and context.
  • Demonstrated Market Research experience, with the ability to translate market and user insights into actionable recommendations for product and business teams.
  • Robust Analytical Skills, including the ability to synthesize complex data, identify patterns, and create clear narratives and visual representations of findings.
  • Familiarity with Quantitative Research methods to complement qualitative work, including basic survey design, data interpretation, and mixed-method approaches.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating concise reports, stakeholder presentations, and insight summaries.
  • Proficiency with research tools and platforms (e.g., usability testing tools, survey software, data visualization or knowledge mapping tools).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Market Research, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous experience in technology, SaaS, or product-focused organizations is an advantage.
