Responsibilities
ROLE PURPOSE
A Club Operations Assistant is responsible for maintaining the pace of play, enforcing golf course rules andetiquette, assisting golfers, and supporting the daily operations of the golfclub to create a safe, enjoyable, and professional golfing experience. As a front-line operation staff, the Course Steward has to be knowledgeable of his duties and responsibilities and display tact and initiative in dealing with members, guests and colleagues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.1 Greets customers in a pleasant and courteous manner.
1.2 Manage tee times as scheduled.
1.3 Monitors and controls the pace of play on the golf course.
1.4 Line up buggies for golfers.
1.5 Loading and unloading of golfers’ bags from their car. Assist Starter to load / unload golf bags onto buggies.
1.6 Check that buggies and accessories are inworking and clean condition before renting out. Accessories such as: sand bottle, ball & club washer and the rain cover must always be in good condition. Any item found damaged must be reported immediately to the supervisor.
1.7 Check the condition of buggies before and after rental. Report immediately to supervisor and complete the “BUGGY DAMAGEREPORT” form for any buggy damage.
1.8 Ensure sufficient battery power for buggies.
1.9 Clean up buggies before storage.
1.10 Ensure batteries are charged daily. If charger malfunctioned, report immediately to supervisor/Mechanic.
1.11 Care of club facilities, equipment and machines.
1.12 Keep the surrounding areas neat and clean.
1.13 Comply to lightning warning procedures.
1.14 Personal safety and safety to others are paramount when driving buggy at all times, and to and fromthe storage bay or on the golf course.
1.15 Familiarize with “CODE BLUE” emergency procedures.
1.16 Any other ad-hoc assignment/work the management may allocate to you.
MARSHAL’S DUTIES
Monitors and controls the pace of play on the golf course.
Reminding and reporting golfers infringing on proper golf etiquette; such as failure to rake sand bunkers afterplay, not repairing divots or repairing ball marks etc.
Reporting any damage of buggies or Club properties; due to staffs’ & golfers’ negligence.
Responding to any golfer that needs help; such as transporting them back to the club house.
Observance on golfers who are medically unfit and reporting them to supervisor for advice.
Report any incident immediately& fill out the “INCIDENT REPORT FORM”.
WORKING HOURS
The Club observes a forty-four hours (44) week. You working hours will be as in the duty roster provided by Head of Golf or Head of Department.
· Entitled1.5 days of rest day per week according to the duty roster.
· Full day – 6.30am to 3:.30pm / 10:00am to7:00pm, or any other time assigned on ad-hoc basis
