Job Description:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food according to recipes and company standards
• Support the head chef or cook in daily kitchen operations
• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, cutting, and portioning food items
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely and consistent manner
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, utensils, and equipment at all times
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines in compliance with regulations
• Assist in stock control, including checking inventory and storing ingredients properly
• Handle basic cooking duties such as frying, boiling, steaming, and grilling
• Ensure proper food presentation and portioning before serving
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or head chef

Job Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
• Prior kitchen experience is an advantage but not mandatory
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and take instructions
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
• Able to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards is preferred
