Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Process Engineer role based in Kulai. The Process Engineer will develop, optimize, and document manufacturing processes for PCBA, box build, and medical assembly operations to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Daily responsibilities include analyzing production workflows, identifying process bottlenecks, and implementing controls and continuous improvement initiatives such as yield enhancement and defect reduction. The role involves collaborating with production, quality, maintenance, and design teams to resolve technical issues, support new product introductions, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. The Process Engineer will also monitor process performance data, prepare technical reports, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Process Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles in electronics and medical manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in Process Design and Process Control to develop robust, repeatable, and scalable production processes.
  • Well-developed Analytical Skills for data-driven problem solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical (Most Preferable), Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in EMS, PCBA, or medical device manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with quality and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, SPC) and basic understanding of ISO and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO13485 and IATF16949 is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with clear communication and documentation skills.
  • Comfort with on-site, hands-on work on production lines, including troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
