Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Safety Professional role based in Seremban. The Safety Professional will oversee workplace health, safety, and environmental practices across engineering and project sites, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting safety inspections and risk assessments, monitoring safe work practices, and advising project teams on hazard controls and preventive measures. The role involves developing and delivering safety training programs, promoting safety awareness, and supporting implementation of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives. The Safety Professional will investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare reports, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to continuously improve safety performance.
Qualifications

• Strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health knowledge, with experience applying safety standards within industrial or engineering environments.
• Proficiency in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) practices, including risk assessment, hazard identification, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct Safety Training, safety briefings, and toolbox talks for diverse teams at site.
• Experience in Accident Investigation, incident reporting, root-cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with local and international safety regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO, OSHA or equivalent frameworks).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage project teams and contractors on safety matters.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently on-site while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are an advantage.
