Role Overview: As a Quality Engineer specializing in automotive wire harness systems, you will be a key player in ensuring the highest quality standards for our products. Your role involves developing and implementing quality control processes, conducting rigorous inspections and tests, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. Your primary goal is to maintain product quality, meet industry standards, and exceed customer expectations through effective quality management practices. Developing and implementing quality control procedures for wire harness production.
Quality Control Development:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards for wire harness production to ensure product integrity and consistency.
- Create and maintain quality assurance documentation, including inspection protocols, testing procedures, and process guidelines.
Inspection and Testing:
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of wire harness assemblies to verify adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Utilize various measurement and testing tools to assess product quality and performance.
Issue Identification and Resolution:
- Identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues or defects in wire harness products through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address and rectify quality problems promptly, minimizing impact on production schedules.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, tests, and audits, and prepare comprehensive reports on quality performance and issues.
- Document non-conformances, manage corrective action requests, and ensure all actions are properly tracked and resolved.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure that quality control practices comply with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to keep quality control practices relevant and effective.
Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to production staff on quality standards, inspection procedures, and best practices.
- Assist in the development and delivery of quality-related training programs for new and existing employees.
Ad-Hoc Tasks:
- Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by superiors, such as participating in special projects, conducting research, preparing reports, or assisting with departmental initiatives.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electronics & electricals engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- Proven experience in automotive wire harness design, development, and manufacturing, with a strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and components.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering analysis tools for wire harness routing, simulation, and optimization.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations governing automotive electrical systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex technical challenges, develop innovative solutions, and drive projects to completion.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Experience with project management methodologies, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, to successfully execute engineering projects.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality, accuracy, and compliance with engineering standards and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and continuous learning.

Pay: RM2,406.57 - RM7,929.55 per month
