Job Description

  • Lead and drive the overall quality strategy, systems, and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Develop and manage annual quality plans, budgets, team development initiatives, and key projects.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards to ensure products meet customer expectations and business requirements.
  • Lead investigations and problem-solving activities related to quality issues, defects, and non-conformities.
  • Review and approve the disposition process for non-conforming products.
  • Manage supplier quality programmes, audits, performance reviews, and corrective action follow-ups.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and project development activities.
  • Lead quality improvement projects to enhance product quality, process capability, and system effectiveness.
  • Strengthen and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Support the implementation of quality systems for new facilities or business units when required.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for the Quality Assurance team.
  • Build a quality-focused culture across the organisation and promote best practices.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Quality, Quality Assurance, Quality Management Systems, or manufacturing environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or people management experience.
  • Experience within plastic manufacturing or packaging manufacturing environments is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management capabilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in English and computer applications.
  • Sound knowledge of production quality control, Quality Management Systems, auditing processes, and quality improvement tools.
  • Knowledge of plastic materials, manufacturing processes, and related technologies is preferred.
  • Experience managing customer complaints, product testing, and calibration activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
